Carolina Wren and Psalm 118:24
How Beautifully Dawn Awakens the Landscape

I love starting my day hearing the song of the Carolina Wren.  He, in turn, loves to start his day sitting on the railing of the covered terrace … where his amplified voice would cause envy in the greatest of opera singers.  As I gaze at him, my eyes are drawn to the dawn-lit vistas … shades of blue and white waking up the sky as sunlight begins to touch the leaves of the trees in the forests surrounding us.  I think to myself:

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  *

Thank you, Mr. Wren, for lifting me up each morning to join you in rejoicing in each new day.
